Prayer for October 3rd, 2026
Good day, God —thank you! 🙌🏻
True transformation comes from you, not human effort. We cannot change ourselves. Believers naturally desire change. But divine intervention is needed in a person’s heart, with your help. Blessings come when we love and trust you, pray, and look at others without judgment, acting in love and charity. Thank you for instilling love, compassion, and generosity in my heart. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.
11 The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.
12 In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord God.
13 Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.
11 A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight.
