Prayer for February 9th, 2025
Good morning, God —thank you!!
We believers are lights in the world. We are servants of Christ before all else and must serve our authorities with an eye on him insofar as that will does not violate your law. Holy Spirit, as I continue to work out my salvation with fear and trembling, I know you work in me to will and act according to your purpose. Not in that I should live with nervousness and anxiety, as that would contradict your many other exhortations for peace of mind, courage, hope, confidence, etc. But in reverence or respect to you with great humility. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
