Prayer for January 21st, 2024
Good morning, God —thank you!
First, Jesus disarmed the spiritual forces of evil through his death on the cross. What amazing grace! Now look what you have done for us —you saved us again from evil! You make haste, O God, to deliver and help us! Hallelujah, hallelujah!! Shame all who deny you, who seek to destroy you and your Creation, as they are turned back and brought to dishonor. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
19 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
111 Praise ye the Lord. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
70 Make haste, o God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.
2 Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.
3 Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.
4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.
