Prayer for January 10th, 2024
Good Friday morning, one and only three in one God —thank you!!
As you know, per my latest studies and prayers, a friend of mine suggested to me that if government leaders pass laws counter to your Word, the scriptures say not to obey them but to resist, reminding me of the scripture about King Nebuchadnezzar who insisted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego worship his gods, or he would have them thrown into a roaring furnace. Still, they refused, were thrown into the fire, and you rescued them. Of course, we should never bow to other Gods but exercise our freedom by serving you, not breaking your rules. We must treat all people with dignity and love. You want everyone saved and to honor you, and you’ve allotted time. We must respect the government and carry out our salvation victory for Israel. Stand bold. Never point fingers or deny Jesus. Your children must stand their ground with simple faith and plain truth, remembering you are our avenger. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
45 And the people said unto Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who hath wrought this great salvation in Israel? God forbid: as the Lord liveth, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground; for he hath wrought with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he died not.
19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
2 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
