Prayer for January 6th, 2024
Good Monday morning, God —thank you!!
As you know, when I tell others about something I heard in the media, I mention it to inform them, not to instill fear in anyone unnecessarily or make them feel afraid. Fear is not from you and is unhealthy for us all. It can be hard to separate facts from fearmongering or concern with all the fake news. Please forgive me if I have come across as that; God, help me to keep watch, yes, but not be so quick to tell people until I know the facts, and watch out for fearmongers. Thank you, Father! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
10 Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
