Prayer for December 6th, 2024
Good day, God —thank you!!
We must not judge, or we will be considered by the judgment we pronounce. And however we use it, it will come back to us. How can we see the speck in our brother’s eye but not notice the log on our own, or say we are filled with the Holy Spirit yet be okay with deceiving others? Sin is sin, and that is hypocritical. That person does not have you dwelling in them. How do I know? Because when I was born again, the old me died, I became a new creation in Christ, and you filled me with your love. I do not have it in me to stab anyone in the back or hate my brother. Your two greatest commands now are that we love you with our whole hearts and others as ourselves, which means do unto them as we want them to do unto us. And if we do not, then we are not of you. You go to our hearts to listen, God. We cannot hide from you. Thank you for the love you have instilled in me through Jesus! Amen.
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
