Prayer for October 16th, 2024
Good morning, God —thank you!
We live in a fallen world with a spiritual enemy who prowls around like a roaring lion, appearing as an angel of light seeking to devour, destroy, or deceive us. We, believers, must test all spirits as we trust in Jesus for salvation. We must continually be willing to deny ourselves and follow him/you without compromise, desiring that your will, not ours, be done. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
