Prayer for August 20th, 2026
Good day, God —thank you! 🙌🏻
I am a new creation in Christ. A new subject. The old me is gone because Jesus gave me a fresh start. Holy Spirit, please help me forget the former things that belonged to my old, deceitful desires. But let me remember things such as the past rescue from Egypt, and the new act of deliverance, like Babylon in a way we can’t imagine; the tower of Babel, which was a symbol of sin and pride. You are before all things, and by you all things hold together. Thank you for Jesus, as he is not part of creation; he is the agent through whom you made everything. Hallelujah! Amen.
18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
