Prayer for May 5th, 2026
HaPpy Tuesday, God βthank you!
Unbeknownst to me: “The Apocryphal books, which are included in some versions of the Bible, such as the Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox Bibles, are excluded from the Protestant Bible for several reasons:
- Differing Views on Inspiration: Many Protestant denominations do not consider the Apocryphal books to be divinely inspired. They believe that these texts do not meet the criteria established for canonical Scripture.
- Canon Definition: The canon refers to the official list of books recognized as Scripture. Different religious groups have different criteria for what constitutes the canon, leading to variations in included texts.”
I do know that the Holy Bible is divinely inspired by you. The books are not merely human writings but are considered to have a supernatural origin. The concept of Scripture being “God-breathed” underscores its authority and relevance. It suggests that the teachings found within the Bible are not only historical but also applicable to contemporary life, providing wisdom and direction for believers today. The belief that all Scripture is God-breathed emphasizes its divine origin and its role in guiding individuals in their faith and conduct. Thank you, Father, for this fruitful guidebook that will help lead me to my heavenly home. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
