Prayer for February 4th,2026
Good morning, God —thank you!
True joy is found depending on you, not earthly pleasures, which aligns one’s desires with his will, and not yours. You are honored when the Sabbath is treated with reverence rather than selfish gain. You take pleasure in those who fear you and hope in your mercy —you delight in your children, often in the context of humility and worshiping you. Thank you, Father! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
