Prayer for July 13th, 2025
Good morning, God —thank you!
Spreading negative judgments about fellow believers, by insinuating they are not “a true Christian” for this reason or that, is like trying to take your role: only you can truly discern the heart of others. When we take it upon ourselves to declare someone a Christian or not, we are, in essence, sinning and pridefully usurping your authority. We must not shame or condemn people. That is your job. Even you do not denounce us who believe. Anyone in Christ knows we are freed from the penalty of sin and are no longer subject to your judgment for our past, present, or future sins. This freedom comes through faith in Jesus Christ, who died on the cross to atone for humanity’s sins and reconcile them to you. Thank you, Father! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
