Prayer for May 17th, 2025
Good Saturday morning, God —thank you!!
Holy Spirit, please help me to walk by the Spirit, and not gratify the desires of the flesh, which are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh. When led by the Spirit, we are not under the law. The works of the flesh are all things to do with self-appeasement. Such a lifestyle will not inherit your Kingdom. We who belong to you through Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. The fruit of your “Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit —keep in step with you.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
