Prayer for May 11th, 2025
Good morning, God —thank you!!
Luke 21:33, Mark 13:31, and Matthew remind us of what Jesus said about your promises: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” I believe that because I trust Jesus and your Word. Earthly troubles are momentary, producing for believers a far greater and everlasting glory, a reward beyond comparison. Paul encourages us to rejoice in the unseen, eternal realities rather than the visible ones —not temporary earthly suffering, but eternal glory! Hallelujah!! Amen.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
