Prayer for April 12th, 2025
Good morning, God —thank you!
Just as Jesus washed his disciple’s feet, we should serve one another. Be kind, compassionate, and forgiving towards others, just as you have forgiven us through Christ Jesus. We are your instruments of service —your hands, feet, and hearts working in the world for you, showing compassion, and acting as your representatives. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.
15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Proverbs 6:16-19
16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
