Prayer for March 23rd, 2025

Good morning, God —thank you!

We cannot change people. True transformation comes from you, not human effort. There is a need for divine intervention in a person’s heart and actions. We all have enough within to focus on, and when we stop looking for faults in others but at ourselves and the need for change with God, it takes a huge load off. We receive healing and blessings when we look at others nonjudgmentally with love and charity. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for helping me to get the plank from my eye so I can see the speck in my brothers and for instilling more love in my heart. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Jeremiah 17:9

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Matthew 7:3-5

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

Galatians 5:16-18

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Ecclesiastes 5:19

19 Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.

Proverbs 28:11

11 The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.

Ezekiel 22:12-13

12 In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord God.

13 Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.

Proverbs 11:1

11 A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight.
