Good Sunday morning, God —thank you!!
Please let my adorning come from within. Let me shine! Renew me day by day. Liberate me from the typical attractions of the world. Charm is deceitful, and “beauty is vain,” but a woman who fears you “shall be praised.” In Jesus’ name. Amen.
3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
7 But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
