Prayer for September 11th, 2024
Good morning, God —thank you!!
God of the universe, look with your unconditional love upon this great nation as we remember the tragic terrorist attacks on 9/11. You are our source of strength, healing, and comfort as wounds continue to heal. God of wisdom and compassion, comfort those who lost loved ones on a horrible day as you turn eventual blessings out of every kind of evil. Thank you, Father! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
