Prayer for September 3rd, 2024
Good morning, God —thank you!!
Your Word warns us against worldliness. What is causing the quarrels and fights among humankind? Indeed, it is the war within us! Please help me to keep from strife and understand that if your kingdom is divided against itself, then it can not stand. Please grant repentance and lead us all to a knowledge of the truth. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
4 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
3 It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.
