Prayer for July 18th, 2024
Good morning, God —thank you!!
Asking you questions about your Word (the Holy Bible) is healthy and is a sign of growing faith, like what do you want me to learn from this, or how might your glory be displayed through my situation? It shows that I trust you to teach me things for your will and glory, my good, and the good of others. I’m moved by you, not man. No prophecy of scripture comes from man’s will, but men speak from you as you carry them by your Spirit (the Holy Spirit). Therefore, I might get moved by you through them. But when I listen to anyone’s teachings, I make sure not to believe anything that contradicts what you say. I would never question you or your promises, and I know that everything works together for your good. Thank you for guiding me through life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
