Prayer for April 13th, 2024

Good morning, God —thank you!!

Like the song! I hear you saying, “Come on, people now, smile on your brother, everybody get together, try to love one another right now!” We should love everyone, not have division —love our neighbor as ourselves. That is your second greatest command! The first one is “Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength:” I fear you, Lord; I love you, and I need you!! Therefore, please help me obey those commands. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Mark 12:28-31

28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?

29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Proverbs 15:13

13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

Romans 12:12

12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

Proverbs 17:22

22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Revelation 1:17-18

17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

1 John 2:9-10

He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
