Prayer for April 8th, 2024
Good morning, God —thank you!!
Faith is the assurance of things hoped for and conviction of things not yet seen. And it is by faith in believing that you gave your only son, Jesus, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Not only do I believe that, but because I first believed, your Spirit that dwells in me now has me convinced. Hallelujah!! Amen.
11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
2 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
