Prayer for April 2nd, 2024
Good morning, God —thank you!!
Colors are from you, Creator of the universe. You set beautiful colors in the rainbow as a covenant between you and every living creature; for all future generations, you put your bow in the cloud. According to your Word, purple represents royalty, majesty, and priesthood. White refers to holiness, light, purity, redemption, and the righteousness of your son Jesus. We, believers, are lights of the world; therefore, let our lights shine through the darkness before others so that they may see our good deeds like glimmers of color and give all the glory to you in Heaven!! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
2 And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,
3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.
12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
The Message
14-16 “Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.
2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
