Prayer for November 20th, 2023
Good morning, God —thank you for this Monday —thank you for everything!!
Your Word says that guarding our hearts by being careful what we watch and listen to, where we go, and what we do or say is imperative. It protects us from harm and allows us to live a life that is pleasing to you. Satan prowls around looking for opportunities to wreak havoc on our lives. And he will use anything he can find, including bad company, even certain music or movies —it can be deadly to us, our relationships, and our families. Thank you, Father, for giving us a guidebook (the Holy Bible) that warns us of these things, and teaches us how to live a long, healthy, and prosperous life in Jesus. Amen.
3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.
28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
12 The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the Lord hath made even both of them.
22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
23 Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life.
24 Put away from you a [a]deceitful mouth,
And put perverse lips far from you.
25 Let your eyes look straight ahead,
And your eyelids look right before you.
26 Ponder the path of your feet,
And let all your ways be established.
27 Do not turn to the right or the left;
Remove your foot from evil.
