Prayer for November 3rd,  2023

Good morning, God —thank you!!

I hate sin, but I will sin again and again unintentionally. And when I do, I will look to you with discernment and repent, and you will forgive my sin. You are faithful to forgive us believers and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. However, if we were to go on sinning deliberately knowing the truth, there would be no sacrifice for our sin, and your Spirit (the Holy Spirit) could not dwell in us. Thank you, Father, for sanctifying me day by day —for washing me as white as snow. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Luke 17:3-4

Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

1 John 1:8-9

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Philippians 1:6

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

John 15:6

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
