Prayer for September 11th’ 2023

Good Monday morning, all-powerful God —thank you!!

Today, I/we remember and honor the individuals who died in the horrible acts of terror on September 11th, 2001, and their families. Thank you for the bravery and sacrifice of those who helped rescue and saved lives. Comfort them; our hearts go out to all. We will never forget. You are our refuge, to whom we turn for peace and security. Therefore, in whom shall we fear? In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Lamentations 3:20-23

20 My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.

21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.

22 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Psalm 25:2-3

O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

Jeremiah 29:11

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

1 John 4:7

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
