Prayer for September 8th’ 2023
Good Friday morning, God —thank you!!
Holy Spirit, please let me not run aimlessly. Help me discipline my body and mind, keeping it under control, lest I do not seem disqualified after sharing the Good News about Jesus. Run with patience this race you have set before me, and do not give up. Help hold your church strong. Be bold and keep running!! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
12 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
