Prayer for September 4th’ 2023
HaPpy Labor Day, God —thank you!! 😊
From the beginning of creation, you made male and then female —you made woman for man as a gift to one another so that the man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two become one flesh, being no longer two. Whatever you join, no man should separate, especially by having multiple spouses, but considerable respect for each other and, of course, you —“whoremongers and adulterers” you will judge, including men who give up natural relations with a woman and consume passion for one another, and vice-versa. That is also an abomination of your Kingdom. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.
9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.
17 Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
