Prayer for February 5th’ 2023

Good morning, God —thank you!!

I often hear the saying, “why do bad things happen to good people?” I think not. The truth is, we all fall short of your glory. So, that quote is nonsensical and doesn’t add up. Because, by law, no human is worthy in your sight, and the old rules come with knowledge of sin. In Adam, we all die, but in Christ, and only Christ, we are made alive again! Therefore, no one is good except for him. If so, that would defeat his purpose altogether. However, after being born-again, we are considered saints and desire to do good, as your Spirit lives in us. But we will never be complete until the coming of the Lord, hallelujah!! Amen.

Ecclesiastes 7:20

20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

Romans 3:23

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

1 Timothy 1:9

Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

Romans 3:10

10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Genesis 6:5

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

2 Corinthians 5:21

21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

John 3:16

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
