Prayer for January 26th’ 2023

Good morning, God —thank you!! 😊

As you know, amulets are objects that are becoming more popular today, consisting of various figures or characters meant to possess occult powers —crystals, Celtic crosses, mystical jewelry, and symbols of all kinds. As of late, especially the “evil eye,” found hidden in many logos. Satan has the blind fooled, regarding them as personal protection from evil spirits, transmitters of healing energies that promote feelings of peace and tranquility, yet, full of superstitions from the east and of fortune tellers, simultaneously attracting the devil himself to their being. Someday, you will take all of that away. It’s not okay to worship other gods! Your Spirit (the Holy Spirit) is us believers’ only protection against all physical harm or danger —divine protection from our Creator! And only you can provide the peace that surpasses all understanding, not some useless symbol, a magic amulet, or a charm. Under your wing, in only you, I take refuge. Thank you, Father!! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Isaiah 2:6

Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.

Isaiah 3:18-20

18 In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon,

19 The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers, 20 The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings,

Exodus 20:3

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

1 Corinthians 10:20

20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

Psalm 91:2-6

I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

Ephesians 6:11

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
