Prayer for January 24th’ 2023
Good morning, God —thank you!
Unless I submit myself to you wholeheartedly, you cannot do the work in me as you form me into your image. The goal of a faithful disciple is to be utterly dependent on you and your guidance as we live in obedience to you. You resist the proud but give grace to the humble —your favor is enough for me. Your strength is made perfect in my weakness. I take your yoke and learn from you. Let your will, not mine, be done in me —my Forerunner and my Savior, Jesus Christ!! Amen.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
