Prayer for January 23rd’ 2023
Good morning, Abba Father —thank you!
The Bible shows us that the opposite of humility is selfishness, which can be from a lack of faith —trusting our feelings and reasoning rather than your Word, promises, and strength. Therefore, let me not be wise in my eyes or count myself as better than others. It’s contrary to the mind of Christ. Where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and evil are there. Hence, I submit myself to you, resist the devil, and he flees from me. Thank you, Father! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
