Prayer for January 21st’ 2023
Good morning, God —thank you!
Please help me to listen closely to what others say. Refrain from jumping to conclusions with assumptions and misconstrue their train of thought, but give them the benefit of the doubt. Be quiet and listen carefully, especially to what you have to say —in Jesus. Amen.
13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.
2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.
26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.
11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
