Prayer for September 23rd’ 2022
Good Friday morning, God —thank you for this fall-time!
We/your Church are the light of the world! Let us not bow down to so-called gods timid, as they have no power over us. You have made us be lights of the world. Therefore, help us to get up and stand firm together —turn up the light! Shine bright on this dark and falling world. Be strong and courageous and have no fear because you are with us wherever we go!! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
