Prayer for August 15th’ 2022

Good Monday morning, God —thank you!!

Because of Jesus’ righteous blood, I am a Christian, saved —sealed and promised eternal life. I no longer try to live by the laws of Moses to be some perfect person that I’m not and will never be. Please, help me to avoid the people who are, as they negate what Jesus did for us all at the Cross, therefore, still living in sin. You nudge me to turn away or tell me when to stay. You write your new laws on my heart. So, while Heavenward-bound, I trust in your guidance during my sanctification. Please help me to tame my tongue, be gentle and kind, loving you and others, just as you love me/us. Those are your two greatest new commands. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Romans 10:9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Proverbs 13:3

He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.

Romans 3:23

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Proverbs 21:23

23 Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

James 1:19

19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

Proverbs 15:1

15 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
