Prayer for January 17th’ 2022

Good morning, Almighty God —thank you!

The simplicity of grace seems so complex, and you are the only one who offers it perfectly. It is such a tremendous gift from you, forgiveness. We can’t have grace without forgiveness —something we also have to give to receive. Complexity is deception when being “led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.” Help keep me close to you, God, as my faith is in you! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

2 Corinthians 11:3

But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

Psalm 139:14

14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Galatians 6:14

14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
