Daily Prayer for January 21st. 2021
Good morning, God—thank you! 😊
Through the death of your son, Jesus is sufficient to atone for the sins of the whole world. You intended that the atonement of Christ’s death would work itself out in the elect only, thereby leading them without fail to salvation. Your grace enables everyone to respond to your’ salvation in Jesus Christ. So it is each person’s decision and response to your gift of grace that determines whether Christ’s atonement will be effective to that individual. Thank you, Father, that you helped me see and understand your loving grace. In Jesus’ name Amen.
9 But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
John 3:16 ESV
For God So Loved the World
16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.
