Daily Prayer for November 19th, 2020
Good morning, God—thank you!
Holy Spirit, let me not judge others, but love in deed and truth. Otherwise, I should practice what I speak. Although I do not do what they do, I might do something else that is not right according to the old laws. I believe in Jesus, who justifies the ungodly; therefore, my faith is counted as righteousness. Please help me to pray for the unjust, and leave the rest to you. Forgive, just as you forgave me. We should forgive one another. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
20 an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of children, having in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth— 21 you then who teach others, do you not teach yourself? While you preach against stealing, do you steal? 22 You who say that one must not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? 23 You who boast in the law dishonor God by breaking the law. 24 For, as it is written, “The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”
3 so do and observe whatever they tell you, but not the works they do. For they preach, but do not practice.
15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
18 Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
5 And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,
